Posted on: October 18, 2011

If you have your DreamSpark Student Power Access card and would like to win a Windows Phone device, all you need to do is register to Yalla Apps and submit as many apps as you can!

What can I win?

Well, not only you will get to publish your Apps to the Windows Phone Marketplace and reach millions of mobile users worldwide, but you will also get a chance to win fabulous prizes:

  • By simply registering with your Dreamspark code, you enter a raffle to win one of two Windows Phones at the end of the competition.
  • The student with the Most Apps Published in each month will automatically get a Windows Phone. There is one Windows Phone to win every month until the end of the competition.

How?

Sign up to Yalla Apps as a student, with your Dreamspark ID and code on http://www.yallaapps.com/signup and confirm your participation by ticking the box “I wish to participate…”.

Every App that you submit and successfully publish to the Marketplace through Yalla Apps will automatically enter the competition.

At the end of every month we will award the prize to the student who has published the most apps.

When?

The competition will run from October 21st 2011 to May 31st 2012.

In order to participate, students must register on or after October 21st 2011 and successfully publish their Apps before May 31st 2012.

The monthly prizes will be announced by the 15th of each following month.

The raffle draw prizes will be announced by the 30th of June 2012.

The rules

The competition will run from October 21st 2011 to May 31st 2012.

In order to participate, students must register on or after October 21st 2011 and successfully publish their Apps before May 31st 2012.

In order to participate, students must provide a valid Dreamspark Code as per their DreamSpark Student Power Access cards.

This competition is not open for existing student members that have registered before October 21st 2011.

Apps will only participate from the date they get officially published on the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Every submitted App will have to go through a screening and Microsoft Certification process before it can be published.

The monthly winner will be the student who has the highest number of Apps submitted during each month.

In case there is a tie on the number of Apps Published, the winner will be chosen using these tie-breakers:
- highest number of apps in certification within that month
- or, highest number of apps submitted within that month
- or, earliest date of the submission for the users’ last app submission within the month
- or, a raffle draw

Yalla Apps reserves the right to approve or reject the participation of any user or App at its sole discretion.

THANK YOU FOR GIVVING UP THIS COMPITATION

I feel like this website is broken, because it doesn’t allow me to register as south african and with other african countries it works but my dreamspark code doesn’t work. can you give me clarity on this issue?

Hi!
Please keep in mind that South Africa already have their own AppHub.
As for the Dreamspark Code, you can write to support@yallaapps.com with your code and we will double check it. Are you sure you have a Dreamspark Power Access Card?
Thanks.

What is Dreamspark Power Access Card? I’m a member of DreamSpark program but I never hear about this type of card.
